Part of the rug collection of a "down-sizing" connosieur.

 

"Double Medallon" Bokhara rug patterns originated from the ancient "Tekke" tribe of Central Asia. This vintage item was crafted in Pakistan sometime in the late 20th century. Features two medallion surrounded by a border of abstract leaves, flowers, and foiage.  All in a range of deep red, dark blue, tan, and ivory hues on a rich "navy" blue ground. Twenty four super fine hand-tied knots run a line per inch for a total of 576 knots per square inch. Crafted of ultra fine wool.

 

Measures 40" wide x 62" Long (3.3" x 5'1").

 

Overall condition is excellent vintage. No stains, fading, surface wear, fringe, or binding loss. This lovely rug was in a home with pets prior and has not been cleaned. See photos for details.
