This pair of delightful majolica faience ceramic artichokes each stand at ten inches tall x six inches diameter. Making them the perfect decorative accessory for your dining table, fireplace mantle, hall console, or upon a shelf as bookends in the library. Hand-crafted from clay - each leaf was hand formed and applied individually. Glazed a deep rich green hue. Both bottoms are covered with a cushion rubber-like material to insure no damage to whatever surface they sit upon. Unmarked. But comparable to similar pieces made in Italy.
In excellent - like new condition - they appear to have never been used. Structurally sound with no chips, cracks, scratches, "dings", glaze loss, or issues of note. Some of the leaves have natural cracks, and marks which occurred during construction. See photos for details.
