Exceptionally large - this Florentine writing desk/box was once a prized souvenir of a mid-century bon vivant. Measures 15.75" wide x 11.75" deep x 3.25 high. A rarity given it's size and quality. Decoupage of a Pompeiian fresco decorates the top. Sides are decorated with a black and gilt incised pattern. Includes its original lock and key. Hinged lid opens to reveal an impeccable ivory interior. In very good vintage condition with some marks, scratches, gilding, and paint loss. ALL of which only add to its lovely patina.
