Abstract landscape in a range of taupes, browns, black, and rust with touches of white "clouds".  By Robert Baranet (1925- 2001) renowned Abstract Impressionist who studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of The Fine Arts and the Barnes Foundation.

"Serenity" is a very good example of Baranet's "transformative" landscapes. While abstract - they take each viewer to a different place based on whatever their mind envisions. Oil on canvas painted in 1984. Signed by the artist in the lower right corner. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from the artist's daughter. Provenance being that this work has been in the family's possession after leaving the artist's studio post his death. Includes frame as shown.

Unframed measures 20" high x 24" wide  x 1" deep..

With frame measures 26" high x 30" wide x 2" deep.

The painting itself is in excellent condition with no issues of note. The brown wood with gold edge frame is vintage, structurally sound, and displays a purposeful "antique" patina.
