Large vertical abstract in yellow, taupe, with touches of blue. By Robert Baranet (1925- 2001) renowned Abstract Impressionist who studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and the Barnes Foundation.

 

"Afternoon Sun" is part of the "Farmhouse Series" painted in 1980. Inspired by the artist's 18th century farm where he painted for 35 years in his barn studio.

 

Measures 50" high x 40" wide x 2" deep. The painting itself is in excellent condition with no issues of note. The original strip frame shows some marks, dings, and shrinkage of plastic "brass" facia.
