It has been said that two are better than one. Hence finding a pair such as these carved ivory painted Gustavian commodes is RARE pleasure. Each piece features two large drawers - each decorated with a carved circular pattern. All four drawers have original brass ring hardware and locks. Sadly, the keys for which have been lost long ago. Carved detail also embellishes the left/right sides of each. Crafted sometime in the 19th century - each piece measures approximately 47" wide x 21.5" deep x 37" high. Drawer interior measurements are 38' wide x 17" deep x 8" high.

Both pieces very good antique condition and are structurally sound. Painted surfaces display a lovely patina that can only occur with age and use. Some cracks in the wood - specifically on the sides. Each commode has some minor and very old evidence of prior wood worms. Which has recently been treated and definitely is NOT active. See photos for details.

A shipping estimate for transit back to our location will be submitted for your approval. And subsequently billed via PayPal. Upon receipt of the furniture item at our facility we will inspect it versus the pictures submitted prior. Once deemed comparable - with no additional damage - we will then issue a full refund via PayPal.

If the item has been damaged in transit back to us - an insurance claim will be filed. If the carrier is deemed at fault - you will be fully refunded the purchase price plus return shipment costs.
