This charming mid-century majolica tureen features a bevy of freshly "picked" trompe l'oeil vegetables on it's lid. Rich olive green hand brushed banding adds definition to the tureen itself and marching under plate. Includes original matching glazed ceramic ladle. In excellent vintage condition with no cracks, chips, or crazing of note. One flea bite on outer lid rim - not visible to eye but can be felt by touch. Tureen with lid measures 13" long x 9" deep x 8.5" high. Under plate measures 13.5" long x 11.5" wide x 1" tall. Ladle measures 8.75" long x 1.5" wide and high.
