In the late 1940s Virginia Metal Crafters commissioned renowned sculptor Oskar Hansen to create his "Botanical Series". Natural materials - mostly leaves were collected, moulded, and then cast in sold brass.

This fig leaf dish/tray is one of the largest of said series. Bottom features VCM "Betty" mark and "4-13" mold mark.

Measures 9.75" long x 8.5" wide x 1.25" high..

In very good condition" this piece has not been polished. That said we see NO scratches, marks, tarnishing, or corrosion of note.
