Exceptional pair of early 19th century Louis XVI chairs. Chair frames feature hand carving with patinated gilt overlay. Upholstered in Fortuny inspired strie silk in a caramel hue which is piped.
Each chair measures 19" wide by 18" deep x 37" high with a seat rise of 19" from the floor to cushion top.
Both are in VERY GOOD antique condition. Frames have some gilt loss, chips, "dings" and scratches - commensurate with age and use. Quite sturdy for their age and ready for use. Upholstery is in very good vintage condition with a few subtle stains and spots that barely visible to the naked eye. See photos for details.
