This beautiful runner was handmade of all wool yarn by Chinese artisans in the late 20th century.  Purchased by the owner in the 1990's on a trip to China - it has never been used. And therefore is in almost "like new" condition. Pattern includes horses which are a sign of strength, perseverance, and success. Along with cassowary birds which symbolize prestige. All in a range of green hues on an ivory ground.  Deep wool pile has a lustrous silky sheen. 199 knots per square inch. Includes original fringe with no damage, loss, or stains of note. No label or stamps on reverse.
