Beautiful set of Copeland majolica salad plates circa mid-nineteenth century. Featuring a deep, rich green glaze over high relief acanthus leaf pattern..Each is stamped with the Copeland mark (used 1847-1867) on reverse .Each plate measures 8.25' diameter x 1" high. All are in VERY GOOD antique condition. As with all majolica/faience of this period backs include kiln stilt marks plus minor OLD chips on edges and backs of several (see photos for details). No crazing on all fronts. Minor crazing on two reverse backs. These are lovely, rare, and exceptional. See our separate listing for a matching Copeland leaf serving dish.
