Kazutoshi Sugiura  (1938-) graduated from the Kyoto School of Art in 1963. Post graduate work at the Kyoto National Museum of Antiquities he developed a unique style of layered silkscreen printing. Since then his work has been shown widely in both Japan and America.

 

This print is entitled "Camellia No. 6". Number 64 of 80 total printed in 1990. Features red and white camellia blossoms with green foliage over a textured black on white ground. Signed, dated, titled, and numbered by the artist in pencil on the lower border. Brushed gold metal frame with a beveled double mat and non-glare glass.. See photos for details..

In pristine vintage condition with no issues of note. Print displays no folds, rips, fading, or damage of any kind. Frame is in almost new condition with minor wear commensurate with age. We have not removed the original backing Therefore we cannot guarantee that the materials used in framing were acid free. Nor that the glass is treated to protect against UV rays.
