Woven in the early years of the twentieth century by Persian nomads. This bold geometric rug's design is inspired by the terrain they traveled while grazing their livestock. A diamond shaped center medallion features a white ground with an complex pattern in red, blue, brown, and tan hues. It's four corners have an intricate pattern of abstract flowers on a blue ground. All bordered by a red ground with abstract animals running along each side. Ten hand-tied knots run a line per inch for a total of 100 knots per square inch
Measures 61" wide x 73" Long (5' x 6').
Overall condition is very good antique. Including minor wear, short fringe, and some binding wear commensurate with age and use. Note: this amazing rug was in a home with pets prior and has not been cleaned. See photos for details.
