At one time tea was a rare and cherished luxury. Leading to the popularity of locked tea boxes or "caddies". This antique turned fruitwood version is shaped like a pear Its hinged top crowned by a hand-carved "stem". Measures 4" in diameter (at widest point) x 9.25" high. Includes original key which still locks whatever treasures you hide within.
In excellent antique condition with minimal "dings" commensurate with age. There is one old stress crack just above the inlaid shield lock surround. See photos for details.
