This beautiful Chinese gilt wood wood carving Features a hand-carved highly detailed and intricate three dimensional frieze of birds, flowers, vines, nuts, and pomegranates. It is quite possible that this piece was originally part of a wedding bed, room divider, or window screen. Re-rramed with a newer matte black surround with two chinoiserie brass hangers attached at the top.
Measures 27" wide x 9" high (frame only - not including hangers) x 2" deep.
In very good antique condition with minor gilding loss. Structurally sound with newer surround/frame. A variety of several minor chips and dings to some of the carvings. See photos for details.
