Often decorating items related to newlyweds and weddings - the Chinese "shuanxi" symbol represents joy and happiness i.e. "double happiness". This 18" tall porcelain baluster shaped vase is hand-painted with six "shuanxi" plus flowers, vines, and geometric decoration. Unmarked, we attribute this lovely antique vase to the early 20th century.
Measures 17" high x 8" diameter.
In excellent antique condition with no major chips, cracks, breaks, glaze loss, crazing, or other issues of note. There is one chip in the bottom base rim which cannot be seen except when turned upside down and closely examined. See photographs for details..
