For centuries many have collected jade. Both for it's beauty along and the belief that it protects and benefits one's physical, spiritual, and moral well being. This elegant carved bowl was crafted from solid "Spinach" jade. Which is a form of nephrite found in Siberia, China, and Taiwan. it's color and pattern resemble dark cooked spinach. In tones ranging from olive to deep green. Prized for hight translucence - it also displays small dark inclusions. Measures 5" in diameter - standing 2" high. Unmarked.
 
The bowl itself is in excellent antique condition. With no chips, cracks, scratches, surface etching, or issues of note. Comes with a satin lined presentation box which is in good condition with some wear on edges, See photos for details.
