This antique prayer rug was created in a remote Afghanistan village sometime in the early 20th century. Features three "tents" in a panel above a central ground of repetitive flowers. Surrounded by a border of stars and geometrical elements. All in a range of deep red, bright blue, black, brown, tan, and ivory. Thirteen fine hand-tied knots run a line per inch for a total of 169 knots per square inch
Measures 35" wide x 57" Long (2'9" x 4'8").
Overall condition is very good antique. Including minor wear commensurate with age and use, some fringe loss, and binding loss. Note: This lovely rug was in a home with pets prior and has not been cleaned. See photos for details.
