Abstract impressionist landscape entitled "Shoreline Scene #5". By Robert Baranet (1925- 2001). A renowned Abstract Impressionist who studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and the Barnes Foundation. From the sixties through the eighties he "earned his keep" by painting portraits at his studio in New York's Hotel des Artistes. However his personal passion were the landscapes he created at his Connecticut barn studio or while traveling worldwide.
 
"Shoreline Scene" is dated 1994. It captures the elusive beauty of a rugged coastal shoreline just before a squall. Signed "Baranet" in the lower right corner along with the year "1994". Comes with a certificate of authenticity from the artists daughter. Provenance being that this work has been in the family's possession since the artist's death.
 
Mounted in a vintage weathered wood vintage frame with a linen liner. 
 
The painting itself measures 20" wide x 16" high.
Within frame in total measures  26" wide x 22" high x 1.5" deep. 
 
The painting itself is in excellent condition with no issues of note. Vintage wooden frame is in very good vintage condition and is tructurally sound. Linen liner shows some very minor signs of age/use. Please see photos for details.
