Substantial and bold 1980's stoneware pottery centerpiece bowl - 20" diameter. Hand thrown on a potters wheel - it is decorated with a dramatic "splash" or "wave" of dark green glaze over a pale and off-white speckled ground. Incised artist's signature on bottom. Includes perforated openings on reverse rim to attach wall hanger.

Ken Edwards (1948 - 2013) had a natural ability to mold clay into amazing works of art. While studying at the University of Puget Sound - he traveled to Japan. Where he met their national treasure - ceramicist Hamada. Embracing his zen philosophy of the craft.

For over thirty years Ken was considered one of Montana’s best. Respected and admired for his artistry, technical skills, and expertise. Today his work is rare and held in high regard.
