Extra large 1980's stoneware pottery charger. Its outer rim is lsaltglazed to refer the clay's natural characteristics. At the center is a large white glazed panel decorated with blossoming peach branches and fruit in a deep blue. Incised artist's signature on bottom. Includes perforated openings on reverse rim to attache wall hanger. Measures 22" diameter x 3.5" high In excellent condition. Ken Edwards (1948 - 2013) had a natural ability to mold clay into amazing works of art. While studying at the University of Puget Sound - he traveled to Japan. Where he met their national treasure - ceramicist Hamada. Embracing his zen philosophy of the craft.
For over thirty years Ken was considered one of Montana’s best. Respected and admired for his artistry, technical skills, and expertise. Today his work is rare and held in high regard.
