This porcelain covered jar features a hand-painted design of various hues over a 24 carat gold "mottled" background.. Made in Germany in limited quantities within a limited timeframe - very few were sold in the North American market. Marked on the bottom "Rosethal Studio Linie Germany Bjorn Wiinblad Handgemalt"

Danish designer Bjorn Wiinblad (1918-2006) was known for fantastical yet modern design. Equally skilled in many artistic disciplines, his ceramic works were world renown.
