Time to make your move with this 1960's gothic revival chess set. Extra large wooden game board is bordered by bands of deep teal green and ivory resin "carved" quatrefoils. Which surround a cast stone and resin checkered center (in the same hues) with incised swords/shields and armored helmets. Game board folds in half for each storage. Thirty two ivory and teal/green cast stone and resin game pieces are stored in a matching wooden box with a sliding top and quatrefoil knob. We believe this set originates from Mexico where compare "Mayan", "Aztec", and "Conquistador" are known to have been produced during this timeframe.

Board measures 20.25" wide x 20.25" deep x 1" high.

Storage box measures 11" wide x 6" deep x 3.75" high

Game piece heights range from 4.25" (king) to 3" (knight)

In excellent vintage condition with no structural issues. The board itself and box shows no wear beyond some slight "dings" along their edges commensurate with age and use.  The thirty two game pieces have no issues of note. Please see photos for details.
