Lisa Larson (1931-2024) is considered one of Sweden's most influential ceramists. For over forty years she was the leading designer at the Gustavberg Porcelain Factory. In 1955 she designed the "Lilla Zoo" - a collection of whimsical stoneware figures depicting a variety of animals. The most popular being the horse. Production of the horse ran from 1956 - 1982.

This pair was purchased in Sweden by the original owner in the mid 1960's. Crafted of stoneware and decorated with dark blue and white glaze. Both retain their original stickers which sadly the surface wording has worn off after decades of cleaning and display. Each horse measures approximately 5" wide x 2" deep x 3.78" high. Both are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, fissures, scratches, glaze loss, or issues of note. See photos for details.
