Alfredo Barbini started blowing glass on the island of Murano in 1925. Subsequently honing his craft in the workshops of the best Murano artisans. In 1950 forming his own firm which is still in operation. This extra large "centerpiece" bowl is signed "Barbini Murano" on its bottom. Bordered by a wide light brown/amber rim. Which border a clear bowl (well) at its center.
Overall this Murano tour de force measures 18" in diameter x 4" high.
In very good vintage condition with no chips, cracks, scratches, clouding, or etching of note. The polished pontil on the bottom exhibits some minor scratches commensurate with vintage age/use.
