This 1920's covered cloisonné "stamp" box is decorated with an enameled floral pattern over an Imperial yellow ground with brass trim/accents. Features a three compartment interior enameled in a lovely nile green hue. Marked "China" on the reverse side.

For centuries the Chinese have created intricately delicate yet incredibly durable cloisonné. Brass wire is soldered onto a solid brass form. Enamel is then hand painted within that pattern. And then fired to achieve a smooth glass like surface.

Measures 4 1/8" long x 1 3/8" deep x 1.5" tall.

In pristine original antique condition. With no chips, scratches, cracks, dents, or enamel loss of note. However there is some slight pitting to some of the brass reveals. See photos for details.
