For centuries the Chinese have created intricately delicate yet incredibly durable cloisonné. Brass wire is soldered onto a solid brass form. Enamel is then hand painted within that pattern. And then fired to achieve a smooth glass like surface. This pair originates from the 1920s.

Covered box is decorated with an enameled floral pattern on a black ground. It's interior features turquoise enamel. The round trinket dish is embellished with multi-hued butterflies against a black ground. The box is unmarked while the dish is marked "China" on the reverse side.

Box measures 3 3/8" in diameter x 2" tall.
Dish measures 3.75" in diameter x 1/2" tall.

Both are in excellent pristine original condition. With no enamel chips, scratches, cracks, dents, or finish loss of note. See photos for details.

Please note: A $15 shipping cost will be charged in addition to purchase price for USPS Priority Mail delivery within the 48 contiguous states. See the "Shipping & Handling" sidebar for details.
