This absolutely charming French provincial Bureau en Pente dates from the late 18th century. Crafted of solid walnut with a rich, warm, and original antique patina. Slant desk interior includes a variety of "cubbies" along with a secret compartment. Desk flap plus three functioning drawers plus one faux all lock with key (supplied) and feature original brasses. Measures 39.75" high x 32" wide x 19" deep.. This French antique is over two centuries old - hence it shows its' age.. Historic wood worm damage. A very old crack along one side due to climatic influences,. Along with long quite old to repairs to three legs. Along with the normal "dings", marks, and wear commensurate with advanced age/use (see photos for details). That said, this piece is certain to add depth and richness to any room. TRULY A TREASURE
